Building a Brighter Future for All

About Our Trust
Advocating Change
My nameis Becky and in July 2018, along with 18 other trekkers, I undertook an expedition to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. The trip proved to be the most challenging, exhilarating, awe-inspiring and humbling experience I have ever undertaken. Despite being a huge success by reaching the summit, without incredible local porters putting the group and I before themselves, it would have been impossible to conquer a dream.
Whilst on the trip, it soon became apparent that the porters, local people longing for work aiding trekkers such as myself, had very little clothing, equipment or medical care. Some were even wearing items that appeared to be for the opposite gender, and, many had holes in their shoes despite sub-zero temperatures. We learnt that there were often cases whereby many porters lost their lives due to the perilous conditions and sub-standard gear.
When the group returned to the U.K. a smallcollaboration worked on a project now known as the Kilimanjaro Porters Relief Trust. The Trust was set up to provide aid and support to the porters who work exceptionally hard so that people can summit successfully.
All profits will go to the fore-mentioned Trust and I would really appreciate the support towards such an important cause. Alternatively, please look at my other items available to buy, again, to support the Kilimanjaro Porters' Relief Trust.
